12 principles of Animation:
- Squash and stretch(when object drop, there is rolling, squishing that is involved)
- Anticipation(some warmup before motion, more human expression)
- Staging(where the focus is, no too much stuffs, minimal)
- Straight ahead technique: more natural, character starts off really big and the scale changes
- Pose to pose technique: takes 16 steps to get to that destination, useful to predict how the character is going
- Flow through and Overlap
nothing stops while it moves
- Slows ins and slow outs
- Arcs: people move in arcs, only robots walk in lines
- Secondary Action: adds emotion to increase the characters
- Time: repeat shots to slow down the scene
- Exaggeration
- Solid Drawing
- Appeal
